Starting November 2020, Googlebot will start crawling some sites over HTTP/2
Optimising resources for crawling purposes is always a good idea, and Google has just announced that Starting November 2020, Googlebot will start crawling some sites over HTTP/2.
If your site supports only HTTP/1.1, you don’t need to make any changes just yet, as they will be trialling this on a number of sites which already support the new protocol.
This change will possibly benefit large websites where crawling hundreds and even thousands of pages will now require fewer server resources.
