For example, Google crawlers’ ability to predict Quality & Freshness was recently discussed during the last JavaScript SEO office hours on 11th November. During the video, Google Representative Martin Splitt said that he was not sure if they are using this in production or this is an experimental so far.
Can we extrapolate from this conversation that Google has recently pushed a new update?
The truth is that Google is continually pushing changes, however, some changes have a more significant impact whilst others are undetected by most website owners. We have noticed a possible update happened around 25th November 2020, with tools like SEMrush Sensor showing spiking trends for specific industries and verticals.

It was probably a segmented change coming from crawling and indexing improvements mentioned by Martin, possibly towards search results around those topics. However, most industries did show high volatility around those days.
